PERSONAL LINKS:
- This link is to a
gentleman, Jim Bogue, who served in the Marines,
as did my father-in-law. He has some great memories to
share. The reason he is linked here is because wife, Sande Bogue, is also dealing with
breast cancer and he has a link to their story. Check is
out! Feel the emotion!

- This award is from
Peter Waite, Editor at "Healing Well." We have been linked to them since the
origination of our web site. We think they are great and
provide valuable information on lots of health issues,
not only breast cancer. Thank you Mr. Waite, for
selecting "Double Trouble."

- This personal
link is with Amy Feld, LCSW. She is building a Wall of
Courage listing anyone who has had breast cancer - both
the survivors as well as those who waged a great fight. I
encourage you to link here and add your name or the name
of someone you know. Perhaps, through efforts like these,
breast cancer patients and survivors will not be just
statistics but REAL people with names, lives, etc. and we
can get the support we need for research This link is
also available on the Breast Cancer Awareness Webring.
WALL OF COURAGE
A new resource is one called Shared Experience.
Shared Experience is a collection of first hand
accounts by cancer patients and the people who love and
care for them. This is a constantly expanding collection
of deeply personal accounts: reactions to diagnosis and
treatment, creative lifestyle adaptations, and the quest
for the right treatment. Rather than a dehumanized
"patient", here you will find unique voices,
thoughtful reflection, and courage.
SHARED EXPERIENCE
- One of the latest links I am thrilled
to add to my web site is personal for me as well as professional. It
is called FORCE. FORCE is a nonprofit organization for women who are
at high risk of getting certain cancers due to their family history and
genetic status, and for members of families in which a BRCA mutation may be
present. The web site can be a helpful resource for anyone who knows she is
at risk, who wonders whether she might be at risk, or who cares about the
issues and concerns that we face. As the daughter of a breast cancer
survivor and as a survivor myself, who has a daughter and two granddaughters, I am happy to
help this group in any way possible. Working together we can make the
future brighter for the next and the next generations!
